The Toledo YES Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the purpose of serving those who are in need of free manual labor. Our whole organization revolves around the actual YES Project event which consists of three main components: it is an annual event, it is Catholic at heart, and it is a service project.
ANNUAL PROJECT
The YES Project takes place only one time each year. It generally happened in mid to late July, though there have been a few times it has taken place in June. The event is over the span of four days, usually Wednesday night through Saturday evening.
Catholic
From the beginning, the YES Project has been a Catholic event. After starting as a program of the Diocese of Toledo, it has now morph into its own non-profit organization. (click here for more information about our history). The spiritual events and activities that accompany the YES Project flow from this Catholic Organization with the closing Mass always being the highlight.
Service project
Our primary goal and purpose is to serve the people of Northwest Ohio, no matter what religious background they come from. A secondary goal is to foster the change in the hearts and minds of young people through their encounters with people in need and situations that they may have never seen. We at the Toledo YES Project are confident that Christ makes Himself known and present through the interactions with people in need, as can been seen throughout the history of the Church and the lives of the saints. These sorts of encounters can transform the lives of people.
