Junior Crew

What is a Junior Crew Member?

To be a part of our Junior Crew, you must be:

graduated from high school

between 18 and 21 years old

open to being the bridge between the high school students in your crew and the adult volunteers

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all site work — painting, landscaping, and other tasks as needed.

  • For painting projects, Junior Crew leaders work on extension ladders to reach the high points of houses. Accommodations can be made if you are not comfortable with heights.

  • Transport crew supplies, water, sports drinks, and other materials to and from the work site each day.

  • Serve as the bridge between adult leaders and high school participants: keeping energy high and helping participants get the most out of the week.

  • Stay overnight at the host parish for the duration of the project to help ensure participant safety and appropriate behavior.
